The Millions…

It all began in August of 2015 when BuzzFeed asked me to get on a plane (for the first time in my life) and fly across the United States to our LA office — and learn how to become a video editor from scratch.

For the next several months, I was tasked with sourcing user-generated content and creating viral Facebook & YouTube videos that received tens of millions of views.

And Millions Of Views

The experiment worked, Facebook Video became king, and BuzzFeed built a news video empire based on the massive success of a tiny experimental video team.

We’ll Do It…

Let’s be honest here. Facebook Live was a wild time for the Internet between 2016 and 2019. You couldn’t scroll through your Facebook Feed without coming across a live video…whether it be a random looping video, riveting protest coverage, or something just downright bizarre — like two people stretching rubber bands around a watermelon until it busts.

Live!

Here are a couple examples of Facebook Live videos that I produced during those weird times on the Internet.
